Are you looking for your next work opportunity or looking to respark your love of teaching? Santiam is unique, and we are proud of it! We are a small town school district with big opportunities, and we have a great staff! These last few years have been difficult in education and statistics show that educator burnout is high, but at Santiam we proudly go against the trends. We are a rural school district that keeps kids at the center of our decisions. This is an exciting opportunity to teach Kindergarten in our district.
Santiam Canyon is located in the beautiful foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range and we proudly serve the communities of Mill City, Gates, Detroit, Idanha and surrounding areas. Located close to Salem and other larger towns, Santiam Elementary School is an ideal location to teach and collaborate with educational professionals helping students achieve their limitless potential. Teachers at Santiam Elementary regularly participate in building wide professional development, meet as professional learning communities to discuss student learning growth data, and implement intervention programs. Our PE and Music teachers partner together to provide instruction to our students daily from Kindergarten through 5th grade. We also staff a reading specialist, math specialist, school counselor and behavior specialist utilizing a multi-tiered system of supports to meet students' educational and social-emotional needs. Our student behavior data consistently exceeds the average and we boast an active PTO and strong local community. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player who can stand together with us as we help our students find their path to success.
